Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of IHT400.com at https://iht400.com (the "Service"), operated by Owusu LLC ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you use the Service for a business, you accept these terms on its behalf and confirm you may do so.

The Service

IHT400.com is software that helps you prepare records, documents and reports. It does not give legal, tax, safety, medical or other professional advice, and using it does not mean you meet the requirements of any law. You decide what to file, sign, post or keep, and you are responsible for checking that your documents are complete and correct for your situation. IHT400.com is independent software. It is not affiliated with HM Revenue and Customs and is not legal or tax advice.

We may change, add or remove features. We will tell you in advance about changes that materially reduce what a purchase includes.

Accounts

You sign in with an email link. Keep access to your email secure: anyone who can read it can sign in to your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 18 years old.

Price and payment

The questions and the tax estimate are free. The documents for one estate are a one-time payment, charged once through our payment processor, Stripe, in the currency shown at checkout. There is no subscription, no free trial and nothing renews. One payment covers one estate: the person who died and their date of death. Another estate needs its own payment.

• Right to cancel. The documents are digital content made available as soon as you pay. Before paying you ask for that and acknowledge that you then lose your right to cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, regulation 37).
• Refunds. Payments are not refundable except where the law requires it. If a charge is refunded or disputed, access paid by it ends.
• Taxes. Prices may not include taxes, which are added where required.

Your content

You keep all rights to the information and files you put into the Service ("Your Content"). You give us permission to store, process and display Your Content only to run the Service for you. You are responsible for having the right to upload Your Content and for its accuracy. Do not upload information you are not allowed to share with a service provider. Unless a product page says otherwise, do not upload protected health information, payment card numbers or government identification numbers that the Service does not ask for.

You can export your documents while your account is active and delete your account at any time from the Account page. When you delete your account we delete Your Content from the Service, except copies we must keep by law or that remain for a short time in backups.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Service: no unlawful use, no attempts to access other accounts or our systems without permission, no interference with the Service, no automated scraping, no reselling the Service without our written agreement, and no use to create misleading or fraudulent documents.

Availability

We work to keep the Service available and your data safe, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or fines, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or that we must close by law, and will tell you when we can.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will tell you by email or in the Service before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where Owusu LLC is organized, excluding conflict of laws rules, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise.
